Statement on the protection of personal data of applicants for a post at A1 d.o.o. (hereinafter: Statement)
1. General Information
This Statement shall apply as of 25 May 2018.
By applying to an open job contest through our website or by sending a job application through our website you entrust us with your data.
This Statement describes what kind of data we collect, how we process such data and the purposes for which we use such data as well as your rights regarding your data.

We kindly ask you to submit your applications and CVs exclusively through our website as that communication channel has been fully adapted to this Statement.
If we use external service providers for the processing of your personal data, such processing (of personal data) shall be processing at the request. In that case we shall also be responsible for the protection of your personal data.
When processing your personal data we can use the services of providers outside EU. We will do that only if an adequacy decision has been adopted by the European Commission for that third country or if we have agreed with a service provider on adequate guarantees or compliance with the mandatory provisions on the personal data protection.
2. Types of personal data
We use the following personal data:
a. Your fundamental personal data, the following being the mandatory ones: name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number, data on your education and data on your work experience if any,
b. other data you have stated under your CV
c. In case you have been invited for a job interview and/or job placement tests (e.g. intelligence test, personality characteristics or knowledge test) we will use your data regarding the interview and/or tests results.
3. Storage period
a. In principle we delete your personal data from Article 2 of this Statement after 3 years as of the date when you made such data available to us.
b. Please take into consideration that we do not delete your data if within the period of 3 years you apply again for a job post or if you send us an open application; in that case the period of 3 years starts from the date when you last submitted your data.
c. In case you request your personal data to be deleted before the expiry of the period from paragraph a or b of this Article 3, we will delete such data upon the receipt of your request and pursuant to further provisions of this Statement.
d. It is possible to anonymise data instead of deleting it. In that case all data related to you is permanently removed.
e. If you get a job at our company, your data from Article 2 of this Statement, we shall keep pursuant to a separate personal data protection statement that refers to the employees of A1.
4. Manners and purposes of personal data processing
a. A1 shall process your personal data from Article 2 of this Statement exclusively for the identification purposes, purposes of examining your application to A1’s recruitment call and for the purposes of preparation and execution of testing for a respective job post.
b. In order to execute the above stated, A1 may use the services of agencies specialised for the selection and testing of applicants.
c. A1 shall keep your personal data secret, and it shall not distribute, publish or give such data to third persons to be used nor it shall in any other way make such data available to any third party without your prior consent.
d. Moreover, we can process and analyse a large amount of data about our applicants in the manner that such data is processed in an aggregated and anonymised form and such data cannot be related to a particular natural person (e.g. number of applicants who applied for a particular type of a job post, average expected salary, etc.).
5.Transmitting personal data
We may transmit your personal data from Article 2 of this Statement (based on our legitimate interest and your consents pursuant to this Statement) to the company Telekom Austria AG and its subsidiaries listed on the link
www.a1.hr/zastita-osobnih-podataka, so that you can be taken into consideration as a potential candidate for a job post opening at those companies. The stated companies may use such data exclusively in the manner provided for under this Statement. For example if we process your personal data on the basis of consent, and the consent is withdrawn, the same shall apply to all the above stated companies.
6. Consent management
a. You can withdraw a consent, which you have given for the purpose of processing your data at any time. A consent can be withdrawn in the manner defined under Article 7 of this Statement through the A1 website through which you have made your data available to us.
b. If you withdraw the given consents, we shall no longer use your data for the stated purposes, but as a result you will not be able to participate in the open job contests.
c. If you would like to give your consent again, you can do that following the manner defined under paragraph a of this Article 6.
7. Users’ rights
a. Right to rectification: If we process your personal data that is incomplete or inaccurate, at any moment you can request from us to correct or complete such data.
b. Right to erasure: You can request us to delete your personal data if we have been processing it unlawfully or such processing represents a disproportionate interference into your protected interests. Please take into consideration that there are reasons that prevent an instantaneous erasure, like for example legal requirements of archiving.
c. Right to restrict distribution: You can request us to restrict your data distribution, if
- you have disputed data accuracy during a period that enables us to check the accuracy of such data,
- data processing was unlawful, but you refuse erasure and instead you request the data usage restriction,
- we no longer need data for the intended purposes, but you still need such data for the fulfilment of a legal requirement, or
- you have submitted a complaint regarding distribution of such data.
d. Right to data portability: You can request us to deliver to you the data you entrusted us with for the purpose of archiving in a structured form, in a common machine-readable format if
- we process such data based on a consent< you have given to us and which you can withdraw, or for the purpose of performance of our contract, and
- if the processing is carried out using automatized processes.
e. Right to object: If we distribute your data for the purpose of fulfilling the tasks of public interests or tasks of public authorities, or if while processing such data we rely upon our justified interests, you can submit your objection against such data processing if there is an interest to protect your data.
f. Right to a complaint: If you believe that while processing your data we infringed the Croatian or European data protection regulations, please contact us so that we can clarify any issues you might have. Certainly, you are entitled to submit a complaint to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, and as of 25 May 2018 you can submit a complaint to the supervisory body within EU.
g. Exercise of rights: If you wish to exercise any of the stated rights, please contact us using our contact data from Article 1 of this Statement.
h. Confirmation of identity: In case of any doubt we may request additional information in order to check your identity. This is for the protection of your rights and private sphere.
i. Abuse of rights: If you use any of the stated rights too often and there is an evident intent of abuse, we can charge you with an administrative fee or we can refuse to process your application.
